Self description:

I am an experienced Engineering Manager of organizations specializing in design, research and development of custom made and consumer products. I am recognized as a creative engineer, a good team builder and good communicator. I have a natural ability to solve complex and abstract design problems, using analytic, synthetic and empirical approaches. My background is as a Mechanical Engineer, Supervisor and Manager with seventeen years of broad experience in Mechanical Engineering. I have five years of management experience. I earned a MSME in 1988 and have experience in analysis, design, research and management in high technology research and development organizations. I have lead proposal teams and response evaluation groups. I have supervised multidisciplinary teams including electronics, chemical, mechanical and systems engineers and technicians. My experience has given me the ability to competently direct, motivate and review the work of engineers in these fields, including geometric tolerancing to ANSI Y14.5M in a AutoCAD r10-13 environment. I am proficient in verbal and written communication, having acted as a mentor in technical presentation writing and delivery techniques. I am sure that I have the qualities you are seeking for this position. I will bring the experience and abilities shown on the accompanying pages to this position.
